Isn't "spelled" correct because Pantsless' post is in the past tense? I think "spelt" is the past participle of "spell" so it is correct to say "I hope I have spelt..." Not sure though.

Edit: Sorry, I got that mixed up. The past participle is used in both the past tense "I spelled/spelt" and the present perfect tense "I have spelled/spelt". "Spelled" and "Spelt" are both past participles of "spell".

So because Pantsless' post is in the past tense either of the past participles "spelled" or "spelt" would be correct.
