Confirmation (not that it was needed) today that Grand Duels has NEVER rated well enough to place at group 1 level. You can keep your amateur ratings.

Amateur ratings hey?
I said that he rated well enough to run a place in a group 1 race, today he proved that you know nothing about my ratings, horse racing or me.

Yes in one of the weakest Newmarkets in living memory with a featherweight and juiced up to his eyeballs. Like I said, post the ratings on this forum. As well as getting a tremendous laugh out of them Ill be able to make a bit of coin laying your selections.

As for your claim that this result proves something well all that proves is that statistics is yet another subject that you dont know much about. One fluke result means absolutely zilch. However, the countless times your ratings would have got the wrong result does.

Be a cold day in hell before you hear "You were right" from AF

I didn't even realise it was in the race til I was sitting in the grandstand and they came out. Said to my mate 'this is a good Flem horse' and ran down and got on $6.50 the place :thumbsu:

Seems more like a "hunch" and a "hope" that the $6.50 place bet pays off, which really what gambling is all about, rather than any type of professional ratings. Good betting though :thumbsu:

My point exactly Ricketts. Flukes happen. Zazzman ran a place in a Melbourne Cup at 100-1. Does that mean a set of ratings that had him running well enough to place were accurate? Of course not.
