I must say that that was my first thought having read the article.

Look I think Thommo did a great job for the club and it was disappointing to lose him in such acrimonous circumstances but it's just time to get all of this sorted out. His beef was with the previous administration and I would hope that the two parties can come to an agreement as soon as possible.

Like Squizzy said as a club we need to move on.

I am as upset as anybody over how this may affect us, but his "beef" is with StKilda, not a previous administration. If he is entitled to pay, then the man should get it. Nobidy asks your family to take a pay cut because you may love who you worked for.

This is boring news. I wish this could get sorted out as soon as possible. Gee, i wish i could get a chance to settle for $100,000. It's not like Grant is doing it tough financially.

How would you, or any of us, know whether that is true? He has a large family to support and since September 2006 has lost his main gig. I'm not sure if he's working fully again, are you?

He should be paid his proper entitlements, no more and no less. If that's already happened then that should be the end of the matter; if not, pay him and let's all move on.

He has certain basic rights just like any of us in our dealings with our employer.

Sorry, but I haven't been on $400k p.a., after having been recruited from a high paying job in the corporate world, and don't live in a house worth over $3m.

He signed a document, and now doesn't want to honour it. That's also not me either.

Does not warrant a sympathy vote - regardless of how many children have been pumped out.

we've offered him the $100K .. he wants the rest which he signed a stat dec saying he's been paid ... it doesn't sound right that he was pressured to waive $167k ...

All that is being said is that if he is entitled to it then he deserves it and vise versa.

I think everyone is sick of hearing about it but the media love to trump it up, just like the manufactured public spat that they blew out of proportion. Anything to sell a story, even a livelihood.

I think he is using it as a bargaining chip with the Butterss "loan".

It all has a tainted smell to it now, and we all want it to go away.
