No. Independent and unbiased relative to a massive media conglomeration owned and guided by a blatantly biased megalomaniac who tells entire populations what they think and believe (which many duly and obediently do) and often reads like the media arm of certain political parties who he happens to agree with. Capiche?

I see. So you're one of those 'Murdoch is evil' types...that pretty much tells me all I need to know, but you still haven't answered the question. What/Who are these media outlets that are, as you say, slightly more independent that actually tell it like it is? I genuinely want to know.

I worked with John Horne a bit over a decade ago. Ripper bloke. On weekends I'd go back to the country to play for my club while he'd pull on the boots to play CHB for his side (forget who he played for, but he is a big unit).

Come Monday we'd swap our stories on how we went.

Been following his writing ever since his pieces started appearing in The Age or Inside Sport. Very talented writer and, as has been said, doesn't follow the crowd in his opinions.

Edit: can't remember him being a Hawks supporter.
