What a shocking specticle. This was one of the worst games i have seen in my life. Both collingwood and carlton were making too many unforced errors (clangers).

Having said that i think it was terriffic how the baggers came from 27pts down in the last quarter to win by 9pts............. well done.

Some very big positives for tyhe club was the form of preder, davis.....(big talent).... and hulmey..... thought he played really well.

gotta agree. carlton were shocking for 3 quarters.

but its great to play one decent quarter and come away with the win. we've been on the wrong side of those games far too often.

3 Fevola
2 Teague
1 Lappin

3. Teague
2. Fevola
1. Davies (based purely on that scintillating last quarter)

Prender, Wiggins, Pup, Norman, Thornton, Lappin, Scotland, De Luca were all important contributors.

My votes in the CSC B&F were :

"We really didn't have a four quarter player but there were plenty who had cameos throughout the game.

5. Heath Scotland - shame he got injured but he was ferocious in the clinches and determined to rub it in the faces of his former team-mates.
4. David Teague - isn't flash but is a solid tradesman, took a couple of gutsy marks today as well, really put his body on the line.
3. Brendan Fevola - finished off the good work from upfield with 6 goals.
2. Ian Prendergast - big heart, big quarter when it was needed most.
1. Justin Davies - put the hand up in the last quarter and kicked three successive goals which invariably won us the game.

Apologies to Glenn Bowyer, Karl Norman & Bret Thornton who were solid in defence."

That's right Dig, it seems charity begins not at home but at Arden Street.

Corey is hardly setting the world on fire at the minute and Teaguey is almost our best player for the year to date. Morrell is a handy spare parts player on top of that, if and when he finds form.

May I post on your board?

Yeah the Blues showed more character than us thats for sure, well played.

Can that Pagan coach or what? He has helped Fevola becaome a class act and formerly one-dimensional blokes like Houlihan become versatile.

I thought it was all over for your mob when BK dobbed a goal, but to your credit you got up off the mat. You can see the building blocks are there and they are starting to work with each other and trust each other.

By 2005 or 2006 you will be a credible threat, but who knows? You might just shake things up a bit this year.

You are certainly welcome to post here Cyclops and thanks for the positive thoughts too. We need to first learn to play four quarters and then we have to learn to back up week after week but you are right, the building blocks or at least some crucial ones are there already.

It's scary when we think how close Fevola was to being traded or delisted after 2002. Pagan deserves every bit of praise that comes his way over that rescue mission.

I think it was more than justified that he was a cigarette paper's width away from being given the flick. He had shown very little of his obvious talent was starting to make unwanted waves off the field as well.

He & Houlihan were given an ultimatum by Pagan, fire up or you'll get the boot. Seems it has worked out well for everyone actually.

Nice comments too Cyclops, you're welcome anytime !!

one of the great last quarters (i only saw the last quarter) but i was at the gym on the treadmill and the adrenalin was pumping so much i had to keep increasing the speed

Well done Blues!
