My mates uncle (a massive Richmond fan) was at a b'day dinner the other night and by sheer luck was seated next to Greg Miller. Obviously they got talking, and Miller let slip some things that are worth repeating:

• Deledio probably wont captain the club, is too introverted around the club
• March doesn't like Wallace much
• Tivendale is almost certainly gone and might well be given a farewell game
• Petiffer may not be offered a contract despite media reports to the contrary
• Watch out for White and Rance next year
• Look out for Gourdis as well...maybe not next year, but thinks he'll be a gun

I think thats about it...
If i remember more, I shall add them.
Are these expected, suprising, shocking etc...?

Having met met lids and cogs at a camera store a few years ago I'm of the same opinion,he didn't say a word.

No revelations really....the knock on Lids is consistent with reports that Cotch is a future captn, no mention of Lids in that report....I fully support his view on whitey and Rance...Tivers and Pettifer, No suprises there

Prez view on TW is interesting..I hope that March has a neutral position right now, Not bullish or bearish...The next 12 months will answer whether TW is capable of taking us to the promised land and I hope that this time next year we can give him the thumbs up as it will mean we've had a ripping year

Deledio comment worries me...still wishing he was wearing navy blue perhaps? I say make him captain for those exact reasons...reckon he'd soon come to life and show some pride in the yellow and black and work even harder to set an example...just what he needs...

If not give it too Foley...needs to stop going MIA ..I see him being to us as a leader what Kelly was to the Swans...although both would only be keeping it warm for the boy wonder anyway...

  Well that would have to be correct.
  Lids, God Love Him, will have to get more outspoken or there is a little genius with the word Captain written right up his back, spelt, C.O.T.C.H.I.N. who'll grab the Captaincy eventually.....or sooner than we think.

  GOOD. Now Terry HAS to get us into the Finals next year. Pressure can be good. Wipes the smile off those complacent. And Richo said on SEN today (26th Aug) with KB, that we MUST make the Finals next year. End of story.

I know some people post BS rumours etc.....but thanks Cormick for the effort. Any Tiger news is good.
I get the odd snippet from within the club sometimes, and it's all good to pass it on to Tiger people who are interested. There will always be people who shoot you down or your source may have it all wrong. Doesn't matter. Some people can't get whispers, tips, rumours, opinions from within the club.
They live overseas, interstate or don't know people who can pass on the info.

But those that have info, fill in those that can't access it.
Some go to training and pass on good info.
Some go to club dinners.
Some go to Burgers games.
So it's all good.

Yeah neither was Gavin Brown, but these aren't the kind of guys you make captain at 22. Those are the Careys and Vosses, the natural, confident, outspoken leaders. right at the moment sugar is alright but when he hangs up the boots at the end of next year i think give it to newy... he can hold it for 3-4 years and then pass it off to cotch or foley...

I reckon make him skipper too, bit not for the reason of keeping him away from Lygon St. I'm pretty confident Lids will stay a Tiger, the one player who all fans respect and is almost an A class contributor week in week out. With the young talent surrounding him surely he would be looking to push this club into hte future. I remember seeing the footage of him a few weeks back walking into the rooms whooping it up after we beat the Dawks just prior to belting out a passionate rendition of Tigerland and it warmed the heart

if you aren't an 'extrovert' it doesn't preclude you from the skippership imo. For mine I respect teh skipper for what he is, not because he is some sort of stereotypical motivator of men....and I like what Lids 'is'

I also travel to Melb to see my Tigers play probably every home game of the year (since 94) and it gives me sh4ts when I get on the Freeway. Why?. Because I hate crowds.
