Well that's it...we won't win another game this year.
How disappointing for Giff. He was beginning to build some confidence. But best not to risk him, and let him fully recover.
I look forward to seeing next year.
Have been wathcing Ben closely after I got storng mail from a few recruiters last year that he doesn't comptete hard enough(in fact one siad he was a girl!).
Got to say I have seen plenty of evidence, including the awful fumble in the middle of the ground Sat when he took his eyes off it.
For a 100kg player, he certainly doesn't compete anywhere near hard enough and doesn't mark or even look like marking the ball often enough.
Thought Poat was a better betand hopefully will get a game now
His pick up at high speed at half forward in the Sydney game and sbsequent dish off to Newman for a goal was high quality. But then you put your mortgage on the result of that game so I guess you are still bitter.Have been wathcing Ben closely after I got storng mail from a few recruiters last year that he doesn't comptete hard enough(in fact one siad he was a girl!).

, but elated that they are putting the long term future of our players (add Foley, Dea, Slops) first and not rushing them back for any kind of team glory.

I doubt Hislop has much of a future with us
Maybe not with BF posters, but someone who is obviously a half decent player, 22 years of age and is as tough as nails will keep Dimma interested even if its for a depth player for a year or two.

I'd have to agree with this.. Hislop cops a lot on this board but I think there is enough to work with to keep him on the list, even if only a depth player.. He's a good size, very hard at it, we need types like him and Rance to come on and start imposing themselves.. Def a lot of work to be done though but he's under the right coach..
Good size, hard at it... that's where it ends. Got to have more than that to survive in the modern game. Hislop makes Tim Fleming look good. Massive dud and we would be going nowhere if we don't cut these types and look for better options. As for Thomson, he's even worse and I will be glad when he's gone.
Have you ever had a good root, great Pizza or magnificent beer, or is life just a big downer with nothing special to be happy about.
