I think they have given it the Axe in the States as well. What a ****ing stab right through the guts :(

There is talk around the Grosse Pointe boards that they are trying too save it. Lets hope.

They had a contract with the network for 17 episodes and thats all that was done over.

Last week's episode was the first one i ever watched, and there i was thinking 'this isn't that bad, might give it another go next week' - but no, it's all over :(

Kick in the guts, Hey Leia? :(

The prob in the states was that it was not rating really well and they had it straight after Dawson's Creek or some bull****.

I reckon they could have got a couple of names Like, Katie Holmes, Jessica Biel etc...... If they needed more ratings lift.

It has done betta then Charmed here so yeh.

it's funny cause i don't usually watch stuff like that, but it was a bit of a laugh really. i was initially warned off it by a friend - die-hard dawson's creek fan, mind you  - who claimed it was utter crap, but it's much better! :p

Grosse Point was pretty damn funny at times. It was/is one of the first US shows in ages that I actually made a point of watching.

BSA, Americans haven't had a good track record with satire, although they have produced some great shows-Police Squad is one that comes to mind.

An interesting point regarding Americans and satire:

Get Smart, one of the greatest satirical series of all time was rated by readers of the Age as the second greatest comedy series of all time (after Fawlty Towers). Americans tend not to rate it at all.

I think Australians do tend to like satirical humour more than some other nations.

Back to Grosse Point-I thought Marcy was really cute as well!

Nooooooo!

I'm devastated...Grosse Point was one of my favourite shows.

It was just so harsh at times - you had to love it. Hunter is also a total babe! :D

I really hope they give it another go - I want to know if Dave the Stand in gets it on with the star!

I hate when they dont show the second series of shows. This will be particularly annoying as we will not get to see what happens with Dave and Marcy

Whats happening with America? First it was Freaks and Geeks which I loved, and now GP. Why do we want to see some trashy Search for a Supermodel show?

Why do they always axe the good shows that do ok in Australia? Now and Again, Freaks and Geeks, Grosse Pointe...I was hanging out to see Marcy and Dave get together, sooo cute, even if Dave is the bloke off the Love Boat:D
