Grundy/ Vogles Thoughts

They rolled a dice one thinks with these two and it failed badly young Laidlaw and Buchanan should have played now one thinks even with that young Phillips would have been better than Vogels up forward

But the swans will still easily make the eight with the top four still a small chance

mY thoughts exactly, why Grundy was in defence, is anyones guess..
And the midfield getting well and truely beat meant Vogels had very little of it. I would have had Laidlaw for Kenelly, Amon for Beven, Phillips for Hall..
It really confuses me why they chose these players to go over, though i wouldnt axe both of them for the future.. do you think we will keep them next year?

mixed feelings...both vogels and grundy did well at times, and grundy seemed to imrpove later on, as he got the hang of where he was playing, but both seem to be now suffering from lack of experience at this level....very unfortunate, coz i've rated grundy, but i think one of these two, if not both, will be offered up for trade

The theory behind resting Hall and Kennelly was made when they knew the result of the freo game knowing that they would still be in the eight if they lost. Or game in front if they won and resting them with the games againts the lower sides coming up would do them some good
but one must say in theory of course.

Could well be it is a very weak draft this year so trading would be well in mind

i was under the impression this year's draft was sposed to be another good one....not stellar, but reasonably deep
