I've noted that Gus was amongst the best for Coburg again. Was very stiff to break-down last year when given a chance in the 'Seniors'. Do you think we could slot Simmo, Patto and Gus in the one side? It would really stretch Carltons backline if we had Simmo at CHf, Clever FF and Jack in a pocket:thumbsu:

short answer is No, however id like to give Gus a shot, could be anything that kid...simmo's form is a worry, really dropped off in last month

yes it has been pretty disapointing, maybe the tribute match took too much out of him? he did have to ruck the game alone after fraser went down

i have always thought that patto should play at coburg for around 4 -5 weeks , but not in the ruck let him play the true chf position.

2 advantages by doing this we could give patto the experince in the position & see how he performs.

secondly have a good look at gus & see if he is worth holding onto.

patto needs a spell with coburg, he dont do that much and his ruck work isnt good either.

one of the best in the team at trying and at least creating a contest all the time

with Richo one of the few that runs and doesnt give up and as you saw vs Adelaide he feels every score kicked against us, i like that in a kid
he'll be a great 2nd ruckman:thumbsu:

Carrying a pretty crook knee apparently, if our season were gone he'd possibly be off for surgery, but that would perhaps only be a short term fix because apparently it's also a degenerative condition.

He's relying heavily on the needle and who knows how long he can go on for in terms of this season or beyond? Pretty gutsy effort to be playing at all by the sounds of things.

I must stress (for anyone that missed the bold) that I don't know this for absolute certain, but it's from a couple of usually reliable sources and fits with how he's playing ATM.

Back to Gus, the kid will be alright given time.
