How else can i describe how i am feeling at the moment.

Proud we pushed the undefeated Saints so far, but to fall agonizingly short like that it breaks my heart. :(

If only we could show the same heart and endevour all year we'd be playing finals footy this season no doubt.

Anyway, i'm gutted, but onto next week and Micky O's 300th.

Think about all the bad/non decisions tonight, only one of them had to go our way and we would of won, anyway bad luck Bloods!
Micky O, One to go...:thumbsu:

Yeah that one in the 3rd qtr paid against White when Goodes was running in on goal was a dead set shocker. The best part is, the umpire closest to the play didn't even pay it. It was the one 50m away in the middle of the ground.

Bad luck guys. I know how you feel

Haven't cheered for a Sydney win so much since the Grand Finals a few years back. Really glad you were able to push them right to end and were unfortunately beaten by a few lucky 50/50 balls landing the Saints way.

Good luck for next week :thumbsu:

Bloody gutted all i can say. Seing Montagna get that point was like a truck to the guts. Micky O shoulda scored that set shot. Interesting fact: In first 17 rounds St Kilda averaged 61 points against. We had 57 at half time. It's an honour to be the closest team to beating St Kilda this year

Not even thinking about finals, not even thinking about anything.
I feel so empty. It's like a 1/10 of what I felt in 06.

Sure we put it down to umpiring and the boys tried their hearts out.
Their had To be a loser tonight and they just happened to be in front. I just wish we had won... So much.

Yup certainly feel for you, as you know it happend to us last week but it was worse for us coz we were up by 5 goals and lost by 1 point..
But in a harsh football world we live in im glad you lost coz now its less pressure for us to win, if it had no impact on our season then i,d be wishing you guys belted the crap out of the Saints...
Dont let it get you down though just keep the faith and you will see light at the end of the tunnel

Worst part was my mate and I were sitting on the boundary in the 'Nick Davis' pocket, and it happened right in front of us. Absolutely ripped any shred of joy from us when we saw it roll through. I honestly would have been happy with a draw. I have never said that before and likely never will again, but tonight, a draw would have been just as good as a win against the Saints. Absolutely gutted.

Gutted is definately the right term. Great game which could have gone either way, absolutely nothing between the teams all night. Very happy with the intensity and for once out disposal was pretty bloody good.

Very impressed with Barlow as well. I wrote him off a few months ago but he showed real poise and class last night in what was an incredibly tough, physical contest.

Congratulations on such a great match - I had all but written off the Swans this year. I didn't expect an easy win because of our history on this ground. I thought it would be tight until half time and we would pull away to a narrow but comfortable win. There was absolutely nothing between the teams all night. It could have gone either way in the final qtr. The intensity was fantastic and the atmosphere electric towards the end. Great game of tough, uncompromising footy.

Its a pity one team had to lose.:(
