i will probably get shot for saying this but should we have a shot at getting guy richards in the preseason draft he isn't that bad at all and rucked well against sydney this year...and with everitt retireing this year probably and then with only jolly to back him up just maybe we should attempt this it is just a thought....
so don't kill me
also we are very vulnerable to an injury to a ruckman next year i personally think doyal is overated and he will most likaly be injured all of next year i have a bad feeling about this..
and don't suggest goodes to ruck!!!

Jolly>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Richards

jolly atm is a far superior ruckman to richards atm but he wasn't that good when we traded for him

Richards has had ample time to develop and still hasn't, Sydney would be mad to pick him up, he'll win you 10 taps max per game and do absolutely nothing around the ground

sounds like the jolly of old before he went to sydney and richards would learn under jolly and everitt adn i only want him as a backup if we fail to get other ruckman

Richards offers you nothing around the ground. I can't see us going for him. In fact, I can gurantee you we wont go for him. We will use all our picks in the national draft, and as a result, we wont be participating in the pre-season draft.

If there was to be an injury to either Jolly or Everitt, then we have Doyle as a back up. Alternativley, we can use Goodsey as the around the ground ruckman. Remember we also have young Currie who can ruck. In his second year, depending on injuires and form, he may get a run next year anyway.

We already have zero spare spots on the list for anything more than the two live draft picks we have to take plus Bird. The fact the rookies delists haven't been finalised yet must be because they're still weighing up whether to make more room by moving Magic and/or Leo to outside veterans and/or delist another player or two to make room for Barlow and maybe Jack and/or Brennan - which in turn has knock-on effects for Rowe, O'Dwyer and Smith, none of whom they have announced anything about yet.

Chances of us having a pick in the pre-season draft are close to nil. Chances of wanting to pick up Richards if we did happen to have one are even less.

Our existing Richards pinch hit a bit in 2006 when they finally gave up on the Doughnut. LRT could go in there for a while. At a push maybe White or Rowe (if retained) if we get really desperate. All sound more enticing than Guy Richards.

Jolly had far more going for him when you first traded him when compared to Richards. Guy Richards is a total dud abd the fact that Collingwood retained O'brien over Richards pretty much sums up how bad Richards is.

he isn't my overall prefered pick it was just a thought on what we can do currie is only going to be in his second year next year and that could be problemati if he had to go into ruck i am just saying doyal isn't a relyable backup as a ruckman because he is always injured white is seen as a forward/hbf so i doubt we will ruck him and rowe has been a dissapointment so ar i would be surprised if we retained him but hopefully he can step up but once again he isn't a ruckman i am jsut worried about if everitt or jolly goes down and doyal is allready injured we wouldn't want to move goodes in the ruck as much as he was brillent there before i believe he is better ruck roving now... roberts thomson is better suited to defence if he is fit i maen our defence is small enough as it is  why move him away from there and don't say for a second playfair in denfence we could try him in the ruck he is 198 but i don't know if he has the mobility i was just making a hypithetical on richards or even mcclarin but they arn't brillent players jsut worried about injuries thats all for i doubt that currie could do it as a second year kid coming off the rokie list...
but you are right we don't have the spots on our list unless we dropped luke brennen and kept jack on the rokie list...lets jsut hope no injuries...

I don't know what that said, but the major point to keep in mind here is GUY RICHARDS IS A SHIT FOOTBALLER.

Besides that, we can't fit him on the team sheet.
