I hate Australian Idol. I hate the process and I hate what it represents. I hate that the Australian public repeatedly kisses the anus of the music industry by only buying what it is told to. I hate everything to do with this ******ed and mind numbing television show except...

Guy Sebastian. That boy can sing! If he does win, let's hope he cuts ties with the contracts he will be a slave to as soon as he possibly can - his voice has a future that Dicko and Mark Holden could only fream about.

So there's my $0.02 worth.

I had my doubts about this bloke, but last night he blew the other two out of the water. He sang a song from The Sound of Music for crying out loud! Yet he made it his own.

That kid is an exceptional talent ... and unique.

What a performance. Like Zeke I detest the whole concept, but this boy deserves to make it, he is an exceptional talent, not only as a singer, but also as a performer. He can work the crowd, interpret songs, handles the publicity well and seems a nice guy.

As for that white trash slurry Cosima - enjoy your holiday biatch. Surely time to go, no amount of 14 year old girls in Kappa tracksuits can save you this time.

As others know I am a big fan of Guy's and there is a clear gap between him and the other 2 finalists. Not to say I don't like the others.

Is 1st song just grooved and the 2nd I had never heard of, was worried when he 1st started, had tingles half way through and I had watering eyes at the end.

Would love to Guy up against the other 'Idols' from around the world in World Idol.

Maybe when Guy wins it he can do a Nathan Buckley with BMG "Ill sing with you guys for a year if you let me go to another label next year" or do what Jade Rawlings should do and set his price so high Dicko cant match it, but then Guy Sebastian has better chance of ever winning the premiership than the Western Bulldogs!

Guy was by far the best.

Cosima's Dusty Springfield song was okay, but her second performance was pretty average. The poor girl coul barely talk by the end, let alone sing.

Shannon, well he may be a good looking bloke but he can't sing all that well. His version of Hey Jude wasn't very good.

As far the 'pop package' is concerned, the Cosima Rolling Stone photo shoot looked a little NQR compared to the blokes who seemed to have that edge in confidence. Cosima, at least the one we've seen in the past couple of weeks, seems a little like someone who would do well on a show like New Faces, but hasn't really been able to work the audience like Guy has.

I would like Cosima to make the final, because if Shannon does, it just shows how immature we are when it comes to music. Good looks, no talent, no worries.

But Guy to win.

Yeah, I hardly watched Aussie Idol at all, too many similarities to Popstars *shudder*, until a couple of weeks ago when my mum implored me to listen to Guy sing. I was sceptical, but having seen him now for about the past 3-4 weeks, he truly is a wonderful performer, a real pro.

I'm a bit of a wannabe singer, when I hear a song I know, I always like to sing along (rather poorly though), however, with Guy, I just sit quietly and listen to him. Takes a special singer to do that for me.

Don't much fancy the show, but I agree with the general opinion. Guy can sing. It'll be an utter farce if he does miss out, because he has the most natural talent and can still improve.

Although with a voice like that....why wasn't he found earlier?

My opinion on the other 2:
Cosima...shouldn't be there. Her voice isn't cut out for the competiton...let alone a tour. if her voice sounds like that on tour...the rep from her record company would be ****ed!

Shannon....his voice is unique, BUT isn't suited to the different styles, and cannot hold notes throughout his performances.

I have to agree with everyone here. I was worried when Guy started singing "climb every mountain" as it is my most hated song out of The Sound of Music, but he really blew me away with his rendition of it. Truely an awesome talent.

Cosima was ordinary, sore throat or not. If she wins this competition she has to be able to perform at her best every time, not just once a week for TV.

Shannon was good, but not great. I would say, based on last nights performances, that he deserves to be in the final 2 before Cosima.

Guy has to win though, neither Cosima or Shannon have his all-round talent. He's funky, seems like a really nice bloke, can arrange music, plays instruments, writes his own songs and of course - he can SING and doesn't seem to get lost in the different genres.

I just want to take a moment to inform those who have come in late to the series that both Cosima and Shannon aren't as bad as they were last night.

Early in the piece I had Cosima in my top 3 (with Guy and Paulini). For those who came in late check out her 1st 3 finals performances forget their titles but her peak was a rendition of Cold Chisels 'War is Over'. Seems since then her voice has been getting worse and worse due to the stress and workload.

Shannon too can perform way better but is more limited to what songs he can deliver... for me his best was "What about Me" back in week 2??? of the finals... also his "Better man" entry to get him in the finals.

Just wanted to educate anyone who has missed these 2 finalists better performances that they can sing better.

Everyone at their peak-I think Cosima is the best singer in the comp.
Unfortunately her voice has deteriorated , it is rumoured she is suffering from throat nodules(I think thats what its called) and is effecting her voice , thus the huskiness that has appeared.

Guy is an amazing talent, if he doesn't win I will also burn my Australian passport! His interpretation, stage presence and voice are truly remarkable.

Cosima is an ugly, witch-faced tart with little talent and zero appeal. i wish the italians would stop voting for her but I bet she will get thru this week on sympathy votes cause the judge's were for once honest about her mediocre performance.
Shannon will have the teenage girls smsing like crazy regardless of how well or how badly he performs.

Yes that's right. She must have nodules on her throat. Obviously she has never had to handle a workload of performing quite like this before and it's all catching up to her.

Anyone remember the Pilot pen song competition? I don't know why I do, but Guy was one of the contestants in it. He sounded like Craig David - but nothing special. Either he wasn't trying very hard for that, or he's improved tremendously in a small space of time... But yes, that guy has a voice on him.

In any case, put me down as one of the people who disagrees with voting for tv competitions on principle and had never done it before, and never imagined myself breaking that for Australian Idol of all things, but voted last night anyway.

Too bad it was wasted because he'd have been through anyway, eh?

I don't really understand all the hostility towards Cosima. Before she threw her voice out, she was fantastic.

When people come out with comments like "you stupid witchy-faced tart", it just proves how shallow and superficial this competition really is.

After last week with Guy being in the bottom two I was really scared for him this week, but he was AMAZING - i've been impressed by him in the past few weeks but last night was just fantastic! Needless to say, my mum and I were both on the phone voting during the day, and we were so excited when he got through to the final!

And, yes, I was originally a hater of the competition, and the idea of it, but having uncovered as much talent, and as much variety as it has, it's gotta be worth at least a series 2 and I'll be there from day one next time!

Also, for as much criticism as she has received, I think Cosima was great tonight - she stepped down with dignity, even when everyone knew that she wouldn't have been able to keep on going anyway. She does have a strong fan base and will be successful for at least a little while because of the start AI has given her, and she obviously had something to get as far as she did, so congrats to her, and no doubt we'll see her around the scene sometime in the near future.

Ive known for AGES that he's a vocal coach at the whole Golden Grove Campus..he even teaches some of my mates!!!
