Hackland's contract...

IIRC we picked up Ackland in the 2006 draft and offered him around the 250-300k mark (fufuufufufjsdfkfsdjfks JOKE!!!!) for 3 yrs...meaning he was/is contracted for 07, 08, and 09.
This makes it difficult to just boot him out at the end of the year...unless we pay him out does it not?

What I cannot understand is why on earth would you a) take on a guy who has failed miserably at 2 clubs prior. b) if you are going to, why the ____ would you not sign him to only a one year contract (even two i would find hard to swallow) and c) since when is he worth 250-300k a year?

Also, was there a legitimate reason that we could not just ____ over the bombers and snare mal michael who went at number 2 in the PSD?

when we drafted him he was actually in good form, had a solid year with the saints. From memory the saints wanted to keep him bad but he decided to go to carlton, obviously the money was better.

Is it any coincedence that the muppets who made decisions such as these arent at the club anymore?

Yeah, 2 year contract with an optional third. Not sure how it works but theres no way he will be at the club next year. He's run his race.

By who???? He has had one good season at the Saints, they wouldn't give him multiple years and we did. Fool us, not them.

He has always been on my most disliked list for being below average - mcManus, Ackland, Josh Fraser (although he was great in the Vics game) were all players I laughed at in games. Until we recruited one of them.
