In his article today about Steven Armstrong, he said something along the lines of, don't expect Freo to pick him up in the pre - season draft, as recent history shows that Freo shun local talent and look to the eastern states!

Well Kim, firstly we are not able to participe in the pre season draft, secondly, the most recent history(like three weeks ago!) would tell you we drafted Ibbotson from East Freo, and thirdly, if you were any sort of a sports journalist you would know that another slow midfielder is the last thing we need at Freo even if we could participate in the draft, you idiot!

Another example of a local so called journo having nothing good to say about us, so dreames up a negative story with no facts.

I don't think its that we like interstaters, its purely that we take the best available to us, and if thats not a local boy then we get interstaters. Its not as if there's been a hell of a lot of talent from WA over the last few drafts prior to 05. What options did we miss from WA by chosing Juniper and Krieger?

Steven and his family would like to thank the Fremantle Football Club for letting him use their facilties. They do not not expect Frematle to select Steven in the PSD but are resigned to the possibilty the Eagles might select him.

Well hagers was into pav on peeeeeerah on sat. said that pav would not have a good a season in 2006 as 2005 because of his modified preseason program.

Well haggers, in 2005 he had as reported a niggling knee injury, a hernia and his shoulder was stuffed yet he had a stellar season. all the above have been fixed. The only thing stopping Pav kicking 80 + goals is the supply!!

In his own words he(pav) is aiming to be fit for round 1. what more can we ask. haggers your a dipstick!! Stick to cricket.

Nobody is questioning the quality but quite a percentage come from interstate.

The other way you can look at it is the way you really test a young player is too take them out of their comfort zone (ie home state)

Very true. Some players excel under this circumstance, others dont. I think its generally the vic country boys who handle the interstate thing better. Mainly because they have been living away from home their whole lives to play footy.
