look I know you are a bit slow
But if scotch were any good and leading by 22 pt going in to the last Q
they would have won.
but only a great TEAM could come back from this far down in what was the GF of the APS to see who was the best team

So the best TEAM won so little boy you SHUT UP

It seems you have just received an extra chromosome 21, Scotch lost 1 game for the season, Haileybury lost 2, correct? Wouldn't this show that Scotch is the better team?

Bluesboys, you've got no idea pal.

If it was the grand-final then the winner would have won the premiership, however the two teams shared it, with GC.

Haileybury can just be lucky that the APS changed the schedual this year, as they woulda have lost the premiership.

chooker, or shuld i say choker, how does it feel to play in a losing team on such a big occasion? to be that far ahead and stuff it up! i mean who would of thought haileybury were going to win at three quarter time, but lucky u scotch boys, renowned for your arrogance thought u had it won...how wrong you were choker

Footsteps, firstly i didn't play.

Secondly, choking is an interesting analogy.
As some would say Haileybury choked by going through the year by losing 2 games.
Choking, Haileybury loves choking, literally. I hear that it was used in the 2nd XVIII brawl in the last quarter.

That's toughness.

scotch deserved the premiership.
they won the most amount of games throughout the year and if it werent for this crazy stupid round robin method of deciding the premiers then it would have been a different story

I dont know how scotch can blame the new system when they had the best chance of all the schools but choked and blew it. They obviously dont deserve to win and call themselves the best school when they lose again by that much when leading at 3 quarter time

The premiership was won by Geelong College, Scotch and Haileybury.

Yesterday, Haileybury beat Scotch and GC beat XC.

If you objectively look at the facts, you'll observe the following:

1. A three way tie for the premiership
Therefore you have to delve deeper to discover a 'best school'.

Scotch def. Haileybury earlier this year.
Haileybury defeated GC earlier this year.
GC then defeated Haileybury.
Scotch def. GC
Haileybury def. Scotch.

I have therefore come to the conclusion that Scotch is the 'best team' as it's the only team to lose 1 game this year.

Simple as that.

There was talk by some on this board that if a 3 way tie occurred, then Haileybury would be declared the winner because they've won the last 2 premierships.

Is the rumour fact or fiction?

Chooker, Stop kidding yourself. Big Momma saw the tears in your eyes as the Red Shirts trudged off the ground. Make no mistake Saturday was the shoot out. Saturday was where every thing was on the table. Saturday's final quarter was where you guys fumbled under pressure. That cross across the middle of the ground mid quarter was typical as Haileybury fought back. Your mid field was destroyed by Luxa. Your forwards were cut short. The goals were brilliant in the last quarter. Scotch regardless of how good you think you are were out played, out tacked and the spirit to win of Haileybury came through. Saturday's final siren showed exactly how important the game was. The premiership is shared. There is no doubt though who the best ****Team**** was, despite what has been written by all the sooks in the APS, was in the end Haileybury. And the Haileybury crowd showed how much they were really behind the team. It's time Chooker to be a gracious in defeat.

Watching that game on Saturday i must admit as much as it hurts Haileybury played amazingly particularly in the 1st and 4th quarters. Scotch barley touched the ball in the last quarter and it was a credit to Haileybury the way the played. However under the old system Scotch would have been premiers as they would have only had to play Haileybury once and that beat them in there first match.
Credit to Haileybury they played well.

Most of the boys that have scholarships have been asked by other APS schools offering full scholarships as well but have picked haileybury as they want to be part of the best school in the APS
hmmm, sorry darling, but I'd argue that they're only really staying because if you leave when you're on a scholarship, you have to pay back all the money that you saved by having it in the first place.

are you sure about that you little noopsie, are u trying to have an argument about scholarships with haileybury boys, who u've given ***** to all year about being on them? u dont have to pay back any money when u leave if ur on one. and the reason they stay is coz its an awesome school that wins footy premierships.

look mate, wasn't meant to be having a massive go at the haileybury boys, even though i have in the past, but i hate to break it to you, it's true about the scholarship money, at least at every other aps school. so either that's yet another unwritten/written rule that haileybury has spat all over, or the kids' parents just don't feel like handing over thousands of dollars just to change school when their sons are in year 11 or 12, which would be a ridiculously stupid move anyway.

although, as far as the money goes, it probably wouldn't matter too much, given the boys would only have been a the school 2 years max. . . except you, alright footsteps, i already know how proud you are to have been at the school since junior school etc etc etc, so don't come back with that one

good players can still see haileybury as a great challenge aswell as see them as bad sports and scum of the APS.
Posts like this do nothing for our reputation at Scotch. Scum is a pathetic word that reflects more on the person using. Lets get over it. They beat us!
