Hall struggles against Rutten at the best of times, let alone when he has played twice in 10 weeks....he must be seriously underdone!

Its hard to comprehend but maybe your a better side without Big Bad Bustling???

You are 100% right with your first comment, but a lot of the delivery to him was very, very ordinary. Also Bassett pealed off and double teamed Barry.

In the overall scheme of things we are a better side with a fully fit cherry rife Barry Hall firing on all cylinders.

I have to acknowledge, stating the bleeding obvious, that your fellows and their coaching staff have it all over our boys. Worthy winners last night.:(

Barrys mind has not been focused on football for a while. He is playing like a player who has lost that edge and lost that passion. He tries to show the footy world he is but clearly he is over it.

And yeah i am sure the footy dept know we function better without Hall and are trying to figure out how to end it.

Play him as a permanent FF and end his career at that.

I really hope you are being sarcastic.

I can't stand people stating that our forward line functions better without Hall because it's absolute crap!

A few posters seem to think that because our forward line worked okay against a few bottom 8 sides in Halls absence and we have struggled against a couple of good teams with him in the side that it means we are better off without him.

Tell me..... how do you think our forward line went against Geelong & Nth Melbourne in Hall's absence this year?

It's unfortunate that the coaches of opposition teams don't have the collective wisdom of some of the posters on this board because if they did they would wake up and realise that they don't need their best defender on Hall, nor do they need to block the space he leads into or have other defenders peel off their men to help out. What a moron Neil Craig was for wasting Rutten on him last night

Hall needs match practice. He'll get his eye in soon.
More worrying is fitness of MickO and Goodes.

I think you're being a bit harsh TM, it takes a fair bit of skill to hit the goal post six times from set shots.:D

:D:D

That it does.

When you think about it, we were only cm's away from a victory. Those posters could have gone either way, add that to Mattners goal that should have been ... and it was one that slipped away.

We've always kicked poorly against Adelaide. They protect the corridor very well, forcing us to go wide and have set shots from tight angles or rushed shots under pressure.

And yet, we used to be one of the best teams at kicking goals from angles.
