Disagree with you there Ripper on Gilmore. I had large wraps on this kid and he has done nothing but disappoint me. Poor disposal in terms of effectiveness and is an absolute whimp for a guy his size...it is embarassing.

His saving grace is his great hands, but I honestly think he wont get a game of AFL football as he is to soft, and that's at WAFL level....imagine what the AFL boys would do to him!!!!

Ripper Have to agree with dasler here. Happy had a pearler of a year last year , got recruited on the rookie list this season , & this year to repay the faith Freo have shown him , he has played like a crab. Sunday V Claremont was his best game by a long stretch for the year. He is no Embley stature wise , rising to the potential Embley wise - yes I say he can cut the mustard ... but we must see more.

We would only contemplate bringing him onto the senior list, if we had a space available in our 22. At present we have Webster, Koops, Browne etc waiting in the wings. It would be an unnecessary expense (we must save on all player costs!!!)

I must agree, from what I've seen of Gilmore this year, he has disappointed.

Agreed, it would be a waste elevating him on to the senior list so late in the season when he wouldn't be getting a game.

Wotchoo talkin' bout "Embley-wise", Hitman? Embley's only come into his own this season. He's always been a talented footballer but he required a few seasons and an attitude re-adjustment (no doubt compliments of Worsfold) to get to where he is now. I agree that Gilmore's been hit and miss this season, but when he's turned it on I reckon it's been more than enough to see that here is a bloke worth perservering with.

I am glad someone agrees with me. His effort against Claremont shows what he is capable of and he should be persisted with IMO.

Interestingly Breake Peake is the second most prolific tackler in the WAFL.
