Nights of Glory Superstable Comp
To be run over the next two weeks. The comp will incorporate races from Melton on Friday, Ballarat on Saturday and Moonee Valley next Saturday.
Races are: 3x Derby Heats from Melton
Ballarat Cup and 2x Inter Trot Heats from Ballarat
Hunter Cup, Inter Final and Derby Final from Moonee Valley
Your stable will be made up of 3x 3yos, 3x Trotters and 3x Pacers from the lists below. You will also have access to a stable star, a pick of your choice from any of the three lists. A stable star will however cost you DOUBLE points – in compensation is the opportunity of DOUBLE prize money.
The horses will earn prize money from the races they compete in. The stable with the most prizemoney at the end of the comp wins. Stable stars will earn DOUBLE prizemoney – the catch is that they cost DOUBLE points.
The Criteria for selecting the worth of a horse involved none of my form guide reading ability. I had set criterias to make it fair for every horse. Of course there will be discrepancies, especially in the 3yos. Ie Horse A is better than Horse B but Horse B is worth more. Don’t whinge about it, select the bargain buy!
For those interested, criteria was as below
3 x 3yos ($200’00 Derby Final)
Divide careers win % by 10
Divide earnt prizemoney by 10000
Best MR at Dist Range … 1.56 = 25 … 1.57 = 20 … 1.58 = 15 … 1.59 = 10 … 2.00 = 5
Make top horse worth half the points of top Hunter Cup horse.
3 x Trotters ($250’000 Inter Final)
Find market percentage of Inter Final. Multiply by 1.5.
3 x Pacers ($400’000 Hunter Cup)
Find market percentage of Hunter Cup. Multiply by 1.2 For Ballarat Cup Runners. Then, multiply by two.
You have a limit of 185 points for your 10 horses. 3x 3yos, 3x Trotters, 3x Pacers and 1x Stable Star.
