Harriet Cordner - welcome to Carlton!

THE Carlton Football Club has significantly boosted its key defensive depth, with the acquisition of Harriet Cordner during the AFLW Sign and Trade Period.

The experienced defender arrives at IKON Park as part of a three-way trade that sees Nat Plane depart for St Kilda, while the Saints also receive pick No.14 from Richmond, who acquire Caitlin Greiser.

Harriet is Melbourne Demons royalty.

Granddaughter of Brownlow medallist Don Cordner

She was the 8th in her family to play for the Dees. Wow!
Surely some sort of record for a single club.

9 Shaw's involved at Collingwood. One didn't play seniors but did play reserves so the Cordner's are one behind or equal

Welcome Harriet. Tap into Doc's experience for ACL recovery and love the jumper. Good luck.

It happened January 2022. I'm hoping she's ready to go now.

Good to see there’s consistent recruitment policies across the men’s and women’s programs….

They come cheaper if we trade for them with history, it’s worked so well in the men’s program FMD

Quite possibly the only players that want to come our way without a coach are those who are banged up/unloved. I'm sure we've done a medical ...
Good to see Nat Plane get another opportunity - a good servant for Carlton but probably due for a new environment.

Me too. Did you watch the vids of Doc with the US specialist, strengthening his knees? Reckon Harriet might get a little more ready with Doc's/physios advice, given women do ACLs more. She could be super valuable as a tall back.

You can never get enough strengthening work. I just hope she had the right rehab with the Tigers.

Drove past Ikon Park earlier today and managed to get a photo of Harriet as she entered the training facility.

Good to see she is taking her rehab seriously.
