Not a troll. Looks an exciting prospect do you think hes AFL ready round 1? What would he play a similar roll to Darren Milburn? Have read that he is a versatile prospect what would he fill in the team. Just wish Richmond recrited him.

Hey not a problem mate. I agree with you, probably so would most GFC fans.

Harry looks like a good player, though not in the sense that he played on the weekend. Agree with your thoughts that he would play similar to Milburn, which means that Harley may play a little bigger for the time being.

He is a good recruit, which I hope some AFL teams continue to look at the older players. It has given us Stokes and Taylor thus far. I'm happy with those two, bet any other team would love to recruit them also.

I don't think any other AFL clubs would be jumping to draft Taylor at the moment. Has done SFA at the moment and looked out of his depth against the Saints.

He was pretty good against the Dees. With Scarlett back in the team he would look a lot better as well in a supporting role, also you need to look at it in perspective, no kid that we could have got at that pick would be ready to play a key back first year.

In perspective though it was Kosi that made him look ordinary. It was only his second game of AFL, given time to adapt to the speed and strength of the game and a couple of real pre-seasons under his belt and I think he'll be a keeper :thumbsu:

don't no yet looks like a good long term prospect but just give him to develop 1st

Sh*t mate its 2nd afl game give the kid a go!

We without our two best defenders on the wknd and he was forced to play on a power forward and he is gonna learn alot from that.

cant wait til rd 1 when with scarlo harley milburn together harry will get the 4th tall instead of 1 or 2 then you can make a judgement

Has a heap of potential, notwithstanding he has replaced the biggest dud of all time- Matthew Spencer.

Definitely not a key position player. However, will replace the likes of milburn in 2-3 years

I'd suggest not putting him on your dream team until you need to trade up a recruit with improved value and you know that HT will play the following week.

He should be a good player for the future.

The second poster said that any other team would love to recruit him. I agree that he has potential, but I don't think other clubs would be jumping out of their skins just yet.

I think you'll find no-one has replaced Spencer in the KCP role yet.

Good sign last night with another good performance from Taylor. From the Addy:

And Harry Taylor has virtually assured himself of making his AFL debut in Geelong’s opening round clash against Port Adelaide in a fortnight.

The Cats’ number one draftee from last year again impressed in defence last night through his efforts in nullifying the Lions’ powerhouse forward Jonathan Brown.

What has struck me about him is that he seems to be both a good size and very mobile. He also uses the ball quite well.

Will turn out to be one of the real finds from last years draft. Looks to be a promising player and most importantly he has slotted straight in. :thumbsu:

Dont hold your breath....

1. There wont be a 4th tall forward, anyone who plays 4 tall forwards against our running, rebounding defence will be the laughing stock of football.

2. When Scarlo, Harley and Milburn are all back together Harry will be on the bus to Bendigo or on the boat to Tassie. Whos spot out of the back line from the GF team do you think he is going to take???

FFS, Scarlo served his time in the reserves until he was deemed ready and we sure as hell didnt own the leagues best defence then so what makes all of you think this kid is going to walk straight in take on the world. Take a few deep breathes before posting.

And for what its worth, the only time the "addy" is useful is if you run out of crap paper so any reference to that rag shouldnt be considered at all.

Someone doesnt like the Addy :)

However, I think Taylor will be playing a few games before Egan comes back so Milburn can do his sweeper role. I am quite comfortable with Taylor in or out of the team though. We have enough stock till Egan comes back regardless.

He's effectively going to take Egan's spot until Egan is back. That could be the middle of the year for all we know.

Harley tends to play small these days and Milburn's of most value to the team when he plays a sweeper role.

Until Egan is back, the backline will look something like:

B: Harley, Scarlett, Hunt
HB: Milburn, Taylor, Mackie/Enright
