feeling lazy today bents? what are your thoughts?
i think he will be given an opportunity to step up, will need to show some good form to cement a spot on the list. competition should be pretty healthy but i think he has the tools to make it.

There was this one time (at band camp..) when he was playing back pocket a couple season ago now and he got a good 15 odd touches in 75% of the first quarter. I neally had a party in my pants. Then he did a hammy and he has never really developed since that - via injuries, poor form, not getting a chance etc.

When Newman did his leg I thought this way a perfect time for Hartigan to step up in a few of the meaningless games left of the season and shot what he can do, and then he gets hurt, again.

I like Brent. Solid as fook and good run. Also a angry little bastard.

Could be a good footballer. If he does nothing again in '07 should be delisted.

Big season comming up.

Hammer.

Nail.

Head.

When stealing ham and salad rolls he will check first to see if there are any cameras around, if not he will be delisted.

He is one crafty bastard, without doubt.

Fact - Will be used as trade bait....Wallace and Brent dont see eye-to-eye on a few things.....

your assessment of him is pretty accurate bents. i remember that game, was against the saints. he looked super.

Was against the Bulldogs, round 3 2005, played all the first quarter and then did his hammy early in the second racking up 13 touches and providing heaps of run out of defence (basically looked just like Raines has looked all this year). Problem was he didn't get back in the side until round 14 after that and again this year injuries kept him to 7 games which is a pretty poor return. Finding a spot a lot harder to come by now with Raines playing well.

I knew it was against the Dogs or Saints

Problem is he is short and he will struggle for a spot. Will be fighting for a place in the 22 with the like of: Foley, White, Howat - even Meyer and Polo. Those boys in recent times have shown alot more than Brent has.

Will struggle to get enough games to prove himself. Needs a big pre season.

saints, bulldogs, whats the difference?

Can't kick ... enough said !!!

He is a bit of a crowd favourite because he does go in hard and has in the past made the long dashes out of defence .. only to turn it over.

Raines and White have both taken his spot.

We need to go forward as a club. If he doesn't go this year, the writing is on the wall for next year.

With the possibility of raines moving into a more midfield orientated role (although i do love him running off half back), hartigan may be able to do what raines did last year, and provide great drive out of the backline.

He is quick (like raines), strong (like raines) and not afraid to take blokes on (again...like raines).

I hope that Brent has a big future at tigerland but needs to perform in 2007!

I have wondered about this. He was dropped last year when he was playing well so there must have been another issue.
