You know what i liked about him after the game, he pointed to the fans and told the players to go thank them.

When i went to watch the Fremantle training on saturday last year (before the Carlton game at the dome) i was talking with him and he made sure the players came over and signed and greeted the 10 fans that were there!!!

Great down to earth bloke! Well done coming back from the pressure that was on him 3 weeks ago.

harv's used the rabbit bartholemew "bustin down down the door" story as a motivationl too and had the great man himself(1977 world surfing champ) rev up the troops pre game
warms the soul of an old waxhead down here

Classic. Its mentioned in here as well.
Rabbit, who would have thought. Who's the old waxhead on the Freo register ??

Fremantle coach Mark Harvey was keeping a lid on celebrations despite the Dockers' third consecutive win, which came after a special pep talk from surfing great Wayne “Rabbit'' Bartholomew.

“We're not over-celebrating, we know where we are.''

I have said this before on the Fremantle Dockers Board.

Harvey will make Fremantle a feared club in the end.

The new players are all quite tough.
Sandilands and Johnson together is very formidable.

Its great to see this turnaround, and good on Harves. It looks like he has the playing group really working now, but I have to ask, what is the plan??

For four weeks we played a possession style of game and experimented with rolling zones. Now we are playing run-and-carry, play-on football. Is there some bigger picture? Harvey has been trying to get the group to learn how to hang on to the footy and have the ability to play "tempo" footy for quite a while. There has been patches of it since he took the reins. Is the possession stuff and rolling zone stuff part of making us more adaptable (once we have a bit more confidence and skills are ok)? Will we see it emerge in patches in other games? Dunno...it's a bit odd

For all his so called technical shortcomings there is a distinct difference in our game plan.

Including and not limited to the following:

1. Playing the majority of our football through the middle of the ground

2. Seeking targets in our forward line opposed to bombing it in.

3. Players told to take the opposition on and trust their instincts

4. No more gumpy faces or abuse of team mates when the ball isn't delivered to them.

5. Tarrant down back, Peake in the forward line, Mundy permenant midfielder and Johnson in the ruck

He's doing exactly what it was thought he would do. Make the players accountable, tough and hard-nosed with a never-say-die attitude.

They played like this in the last 8-10 games last year, losing close ones. With the clear out and some special draft talent we've got fresh legs and even fresher attitudes to help lift our vets when they are down.

Good onya Harvey always been behind you!

Totally agree!!

Who would`ve guessed we`d win 3 in a row after the first 4 weeks.

The attitude has changed. Good onya Harves.

Congrats fellas on 3 wins in a row, wouldn't of imagined it a month ago.

Being a bombers fan, im really happy to see Harvey do well, hopefully he can end up being the most successful coach in the clubs history. He was my first choice to replace sheeds and while im over the moon with knighter at the moment, i think harvey will achieve great things.:thumbsu:

I think Harvey has done great.

Two match ups in the last few weeks which has shown that may be the guy can coach are Tarrant on LeCras and Dodd on Eddie Betts.

Good to see the people on the board getting behind him.
