I love Tazza. He is a classy player who seems to have improved in every aspect of his game. BUT I don't think he is a full forward playing the system we play. I think we waste him playing him so deep, his ability to move the abll into the forward 50 could win many games for us if we had another target. If Josh, Pebbles or one of the young blokes could provide another target then I think Tazza could be the most damaging HF in the game. Friday night showed that Tazza can't play like LLoyd or even a Richo type player, we cant bang it long and let him body to body to try and win the ball. What do you think fokes?

he starts in deep, and gives long leads out. Starting at full forward he might take alot of his marks outside 50. If you start him at CHF his style of game would have him leading into the back 50, which we don't want.

His position right now is where he belongs, but he can't be our only target. Hence the reason we break down whenever Rocca ain't around.

I have often thought that Tazza is an ideal HFF. He is a strong mark and moves around brilliantly. He can drift down the field (much as he does now) and also sneak into the full forward line for the big grab. He may be tall but that does not necessarily make him a KPP.

Rocca is perfect for us at CHF and should remain in that position. Josh could play as the FF.

We have the personnel to provide other teams with plenty of headaches in the forward line but seem intent on playing too many in positions they struggle in. However that is why MM is paid the big bucks so I expect he must know what he is doing.

Time to crank up my bandwagon again. As a FF tax is playing a position not natural to his athletic style. He looks to me to be suited to a wing. What worries me about Taz is the Gavin Brown expieiance. A skinny bloke that bulks up is still a skinny bloke and his body can't take conatant impact from packs.

TARRANT TO THE WING PLEASE!

Do you remember that game several years ago when Taz played in the middle (against North??). I think he has great skills and perhaps could float in and out of the middle as another option. He looks a lot like Lappin in his body style and his pace would be a huge asset.

How many more middfielders do we want at the club or in the current team, I think thats our problem we have to many running flankers or midfielders as for Tarrant i believe he is the perfect half forward flanker or CHF, I see some one of large stature as a full forward such as Rocca, but i'd like to see im at CHF, maybe play some one like C.Cloke out of the goal square or a Josh Fraser, it always annoys me seing Tarrant rot away inside fifty when the ball is not going down there, if you look at last years performances when he did quiet well, in most games tarrant had a lot of inside 50's so i think he shouldn't play out of the goal square.....
Hows that

I totally agree Guess_who. My point regarding the mid field was that in a game like Friday night where Tazza is having no influence surely it is better ot get him into the play than to "rot" in the forward 50.

Yeah but I don't think that he suits that position i'd rather see him on the half forward flank or something that way he has some freedom at least. The thing is on Friday night if he would have played in the centre, then we would have really only had did up forward perhaps fraser could have gone up there but that would raise the same point.

If Taz is going to be a FF, they will need to work on his leading, and his confidence infront of goal. He also has trouble (sometimes) with man on man marks. I'd like to see Taz moved to CHF, where he can get some marks, and help get it into the 50 for the Pies. The only problem I see is, who will play FF?
