4 double century opening stands in 6 Tests, it said in my paper today that Greenidge/Haynes ('...probably the best opening partnership ever...') managed the same in 12 years together.
These two must really love batting together, I remember Langer getting a lot of criticism on here about a year ago when he was having a rough trot which surprised me as he's a proven top notch Test run scorer & a tough little blighter as well.I was never sure about Hayden, but this year he's had a stormer despite a relatively poor showing in the Ashes.It's one of the strengths of the Australian batting line up that there's a few blokes who've taken their time to become Test regulars & it seems they really appreciate it once they get there.
