In further sign of Fremantle’s exciting future talented defender Roger Hayden has agreed to terms to remain with the club until 2007. In the past fortnight the club has re-signed several players including Paul Medhurst, James Walker, Brett Peake and Steven Dodd.
Hayden was developed through the club’s rookie list and played his first game in round 15, 2002. After five games in his debut season he added 21 the following year and another 16 in 2003 before suffering a broken leg in the round 21 Carlton Mid Derby.
The 24 year old underwent a long and exhaustive rehabilitation and returned to action during 2005 with South Fremantle in the WAFL and played an important role in their premiership victory.
