Hazards Perception Test

Hey guys, i am just wondering what the best way to prepare for this is? I've downloaded the practice questions they seem fairly straight forward. The pass mark is 54%, is it as easy as it sounds?

Yeah, downloading the practice questions is good - lol those questions actually come up on the test! but yeh best advice is dont click to early - my instructor told me that thats the reason people fail, the see nothing happening and just click anyway. I thought i went terribly and still got about 70% or something so dont stress too much, its a stupid test anyway, nothing like real driving at all.

That test is pathetic; doesn't reflect driving in any way. Try get an experienced driver (parents) to do that practice test and they probably won't get all three.

FWIW, I got about 80 on mine and I wasn't sure of many of them (I thought I clicked too early on most). The mouse didn't click when I wanted to on one or two as well.

Sh*thouse test. I passed alright but the questions are just stupid, half the time I didn't know what I was waiting for.

Best way to prepare is practice on that cd they give you after you pass your driving test.

Also, downloading other practice scenarios is a good way to prepare.

Like everyone else said:

1. Don't click too early.
2. Don't click because nothing happens and you thought something was there.
3. Watch out for vehicles hidden at the back of other vehicles - if there is a big vehicle driving past...beware.

The test itself is overated. Pretty easy to pass. Good luck and if you don't pass, you can just go back the next day and do it again.

My issue I had with the perception test was the speed of the computer i did the test on.

With it so slow it took time for the video to show what was happening, and the video quality was shithouse.

Still, passing or failing doesnt give you a decent guide as to where you are as a driver.
