Hd Tv Channel Nine

I dont know if this thread belongs here but I live in Singleton, Hunter Valley, NSW and I would love to get Channel NINE HD because I hang out to watch the AFL Footy Show but can't get the channel. I have an Integrated HD TV. Is there a reason why I can't get the channel?
My only thought is the signal doesn't come out this far.
If anyone can help, thanks.

your thought is right, you are way way way way too far away.

digital has a very steep drop off, either you have a signal or you don't.


HOWEVER.
try and see if NBN are broadcasting the channel. WIN are, but that doesn't help you.

just try retuning your TV to see if its there.

Nine HD is available exclusively in 1080i high definition from PBL Media's four metropolitan owned-and-operated stations, TCN Sydney, GTV Melbourne, QTQ Brisbane and NTD Darwin. Nine HD programming is also carried via WIN Corporation's two metropolitan stations NWS Adelaide, and STW Perth as well as on its regional stations RTQ Queensland, WIN southern New South Wales, VTV Victoria and TVT Tasmania.[2] It is not known whether the Nine Network's other regional affiliates, NBN Television and Imparja Television, will carry the new multichannel.

I'm in Nth Vic and Nien HD (WIN HD) is the worst offering...whilst having not measured the content, it seems to be on the loop of northern Canada 20 hours a day...very rare to get any HD shows on it.

May look great at Harvey Norman, but the reality of home is that it is a wasted channel.

Gaso, are you getting TenHD's HD only programming there yet? Still no sign of it here on Southern Cross in the hell that is Canberra (who says hell doesn't freeze over).
Ten were the first to go with the programming, whole series of some stuff has been on, and not shown here (or probably anywhere else outside the five mainland state capitals).

10Hd is on here for special shows like finales of B.Loser etc, some House and maybe a few other prime shows.

The rest of the time is looping.

The good thing about HD10Southern Cross is they update their loops. We actually visited NSW coast in March and went to many of the places that were on the loop back then such as Batemans Bay. Pathetic hey!

Surely it can't be that hard for SC to rebroadcast TenHD; that loop has been running for close to (maybe over) a year now and six months of Ten having some "HD only" programming - with occasional updates apparently.

SC10 HD is due to get Ten's HD content in Q4 this year according to something I read over at DTVforum.
