Great stuff Headless , a really well presented and researched thread.
As a poster of an almost neutral persuasion, I agree with Bono.
Thanks, friends. I think these winnings seasons should be celebrated, of course, but there are also some interesting trends to consider. I still have to post concluding thoughts, but I'll probably come back to this thread from time to time to post other observations or season reviews.

I hope it's made a contribution to the board.

Also, if anybody wants to just read the analysis without other posts in the thread, you can use the threadmarks, or click "Reader mode" to see only the threadmarked posts.

This is a beez vote winner for sure.

The only query, it may be a little early in the season.

beez voters have short memories.

They are also stupid enough to vote both PMBangers and serial_thrilla onto the podium.

CHAPTER 8: CONCLUDING THOUGHTS

CHAPTER 8: CONCLUDING THOUGHTS

I've enjoyed researching and producing this thread, and I hope it has contributed to board lore surrounding the beez Trophy. Some general thoughts in no particular order:
  • All five winners obviously had very strong seasons. I think the two least like the others were Tigerturbulance, who focused a lot more on podcast/video-based media, and Elton Johns Wig, who came from seemingly a long way back the season prior to win.
  • There have been very many posters unlikely not to win a beez Trophy. serial_thrilla, for instance, has been around the mark for several seasons, and I hope serial wins a beez in the future at some point.
  • My personal view is that Season 28-29 media - the manangatang/TheInjuryFactory era - was the peak of Sweet FA media. The league is always changing, but I think media has dipped a touch after that huge peak, where we also had extremely strong contributors like Kennedy Parker, Tigerturbulance, and Barrybran around the mark. Or perhaps I'm just Seymour Skinner thinking everybody else is wrong.
  • The "big four" phenomenon I touched on earlier really interested me, and I'll be a keen observer of the Season 34 beez count to see if that holds true again.

Overall, my main thought when constructing this thread centred on what a wonderfully creative outlet this place can be for a lot of people. If you haven't already, I really recommend browsing some of the media threads (in particular) I've linked in the season analysis posts. There are some absolute rippers.

An overview of this thread prior to this post:

I would once again like to thank Hate, serial_thrilla, and WaynesWorld19, whose historical stats work I have relied on throughout this thread. I would also like to again thank manangatang, TheInjuryFactory, Tigerturbulance, Barrybran, and Elton Johns Wig for affording me their time, kindness, and thoughts in relation to their own beez-winning seasons.

I'm going to the leave the thread here for now, but will likely come back to it at some stage with further analysis or observations. I hope others can also use the thread to do the same should they wish to do so!

Peace. :bee:
