For those WA supporter hanging out to see if Headland does want to return, if the situation came down to Headland wanting to return to WA, I reckon the club should refuse to do a deal, and force him to go into the draft, if he really wants to leave to get a better deal elsewhere.

What if the trade was Dessy to Eagles, Judd to St Kilda and Reiwoldt to Brisbane? Would you be performing self mutilation to teach Dessy a lesson. In the unhappy event that Dessy left would you reject such a trade? I think not.

Thanks for joining, clown.
As far as I'm concerned, M.Michael is one of the best full backs going around in the league (if not the best). How people can not rate him as a star is beyond me.
Whether or not Pavlich is a good player, I would much rather Michael at FB, and so would most other Lions supporters.
Des in navy blue...don't know if I could stomach that one.Originally posted by Stocka

Someone disagrees with your opinion and there labelled a clown. I think we all know the only clown around here is you my man. My comments were my opinion, you have yours, no need to start insulting people.

I think you would find as good a FB as Michael is, most clubs would take Pavlich over Michael any day of the week. As far as FB's go though Michael is pretty good.

Stocka:
At the end of the contracted period the player is free to go. He has no obligation to the club as the terms of his contract have expired.
The rules of the AFL however provide that an uncontracted player can only be picked up in the draft or as a trade to the club he is happy to go to.

I find it odd that you think it is better that the club get nothing for such a player rather than trade him to the club of his choice. That is cutting off your nose to spite your face.

We would all love to see Dessy stay - I sit in Bay 70!!!!! but if for whatever reason he wants to go back to WA and we cannot persuade him to stay what purpose does it serve either party to play such silly games.

Stocka,
Relax you fella
The reason I said you havent seen much of Pavlich is because you wrote "Who does he play for". Perhaps I presumed a bit too much?

As for supporting Freo, I will always be a Fitzroy supporter, I love the Brisbane Lions (Yes I went insane when North robbed us in 99), but Freo gave Fitzroy a very good send off and considering I live down the road I have a soft spot for Freo?

I went to the Brissy/WCE game last week and was in section 73 or 71 or something in the 70's.![]()
