what happened to this guy? he was touted as a high draft pic by some people last year. Where is he now and how is he going?

Still playing VFL or maybe reserves, has not had a year like last year from what i heard. Didnt get pick at all not in Nat draft or PSD. Freo decided to go with Copping again instead of picking him.

Dean Kelly. Freak. Good mates with the kid. Went to school and played footy with him. Never seen a guy tear up a footy match like he has. Captained oakliegh to first flag, 6 goals BOG medal only player to do so and not get drafted. 3rd in the TAC B&F playing only 8 matches or so. absolute joke he didnt get picked up. AFL club dont really look for genuine footballers anymore they look for athletes that can play a bit. Down on confidence this year at Port Melbourne hopefully will have a ripper next season and have a look in for rookie.

Yeh i heard that, a few wafl consistent wafl players i have talked to have said that they don't look for consistency they look for guys who rip the game to shreds one week but can go missing the next. It seems a bit odd to me, but i spose the AFL clubs think they can get the players to play like that more consistently

Shortish? We have too many of this type in midfield But if Belly retires and Browne is chopped than why not look at him again?
