Man calls cops about cannabis theft, is arrested himself
December 17, 2003

An Adelaide man called police when he found intruders breaking into his home to steal his cannabis crop, and ended up being charged himself, police said.

Police called to a house at Torrensville shortly after midnight caught four men allegedly stealing cannabis that was being grown in two rooms.

Four men aged between 22 and 26-years-old were arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass.

However, also arrested was the 23-year-old homeowner who had called police.

He was later charged with cultivating 16 cannabis plants.

"He was calling from underneath his bed," a police spokesman was reported as saying. "I don't know what he was thinking. Perhaps he was smoking too much of his own product."

All will appear in court.

Lawyer fails in bid to enforce sex twice a day with wife
November 6, 2003

An Israeli lawyer tried but failed to bind his wife legally to have sexual intercourse with him twice a day, the country's top-selling daily reported.

The Yediot Aharonot said the lawyer, whose name was not disclosed, filed a petition to a court demanding his wife commit herself in writing to having sex with him "every morning and every night".

The lawyer, who complained his wife had wrongly accused him of attempting to force her into sexual relations and of beating her, also demanded that she comply "under no pressure whatsoever".

The court ruled the petition was not receivable.
