Hello !!

I need some help - I have created a workbook with 9 different worksheets. What I need to know is if there is anyway I can ensure that one of the worksheets always is the one that is displayed first when the spreadsheet is opened.

Kind of like a sheet homepage if that makes sense.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Jen.

If you save the spreadsheet with the cursor selected in one of the cells of the sheet that you want to be the main page, it should always open up on that page.....

if you want to move sheets to the start, go to Edit, then Move or Copy Sheet, and move it around from there....

Hope that helps!!

In most instances but depending on what platform you are using, whatever page you are on when the file is last saved and then closed it will be that page that shows when the file is opened. It is also a good idea to put the main page, source page or whatever you want to call it at the beginning of all the tabs. This is easily done by single clicking on the tab, keeping your finger down and then dragging the sheet to the beginning.

Hope this helps

BluesBabe thanx so much!

What I will do is create a little Visual Basic sheet that ensures that the cursor is placed on the main worksheet when someone selects close!!

(It has to start on that page from wherever the person is in the workbook)

Thanx sooooooo much!!

WOOHOO!!

Jen

PS - Thanx lady lawrence as well! :)

Include in the workbook a macro called auto_open with the following script:

Sub auto_open()
Worksheets("????").Select
End Sub

With the ??? marks being the name of the sheet. You can also do things such as hiding toolbars, sheet tabs etc...

Good luck.

(If this doesn't work, PM me)...
