I need ideas to raise money for a footy club what are some of the best fund raisers you have been involved in. Hope to generate possibly $1500.00 over the course of a season. They can be alot of small fund raisers eg after training or maybe 4 or 5 larger fund raisers throughout the year.

Looking for fresh ideas.

get 100 raffle tickets and sell them all before the start of the main game and whatever the margain is at the end of the game the person with that numbered raffle ticket gets half the money, say $100 if you sell the tickets for $2 each.

eg: mr blogs buys ticket number 26, carlton wins or losses by 26 points mr blogs wins $100

Best one is $5k or $10k draws, depending on how many people in your club. $5k draw - sell 100 tickets at $100 each - thats $10,000 in. Each ticket gets 2 people entry free piss and food for 4 hours - usual cost about $2500. 1st prize $3000, 1st ticket out $500, 50th ticket out $500 and 2nd last ticket out $500. Shell out $7k in prize money and easy $3000 profit. After 4 hours sell grog normal prices and usually make a killing cause everyone on spirits by then. At a $10k draw sell 200 tickets and only give 1st place as $10,000 - make about $6000 on this one. Need at least 20 people to run it effectively.

Pay for a sponsor is another way - A lot of clubs have 1 main sponsor and few little ones - you sell sponsorship tickets at $250 each. I people want to be major sponsors means they get more tickets in draw. At draw you pull out name of two sponsors - 1 gets name on jumpers for home games and one for away games. Can still look at giving major cash contributions to shorts sponsor. Good way of getting extra sponsor dollars with chance of good exposure for minimal outlay, usually stop this at 50 sponsors. 50 x 250 = $12,500 profit.

I thought with this that numbers 1-50 were fro home side and 51-100 were for away side. If margin over 50 points then number 50 gets it.

Must be travellin alright if you have home jumpers and away jumpers
but not a bad idea all the same

Player Sponsors is the way to go.

Every player has to find a $200 sponsor. That sponsor gets there company name / details on that players photo in the club rooms, as well as a "Company feature" at least once per year in your club newsletter.

50 senior players x $200 = $10,000

Another Idea is First Goal Kicker tickets at $5 * 22 * 18 rounds with the holder of the winning ticket for each round getting $50 and $60 goes to the club. Do this each week and there is another $1080 for each year and do the same and get the President to pick the BOG for the day and you make a easy 2k without too much mucking around. If you want to up the ticket to $10 you can make even more coin for the club.

Every player puts in a $30 item into a wheelbarrow supplied by the local hardware store (usually the items are alcoholic)

each player on the list (18+) sells 100 tickets at $2ea over the course of the year.... say there are 40 players... thats 4000 tickets....which is 8000 dollars... as the prize was donated $30ea... its all profit

even if 20 people sell tix at $1 ea...thats 2000 profit.... 20 ppl x $30 means theres gonna be a $600 prize....and whos not gonna spend a few dollars at that chance?
