G'day all. I and a couple of mates want to attend the Pies/Hawks game at UTAS (Launceston) on Sunday. Pies members tickets go on sale at 11AM today. I have been a Pies member many times over the years but not this year unfortunately. I was wondering if a member was willing to give me their membership/barcode number so I can avoid the general sale offering @ 1PM? The game will sell out. I sincerely hope you are not one of the individuals who didnt renew their membership because of the 2020 off season and are now trying to secure members tickets...

There were lots of reasons not to renew. I didn't and it had nothing to do with our 2020 off season. I thought that we were taken for granted and treated like 3rd class citizens for the entire 2020 season. I'll take a long time to renew. Local footy gives me my fix at the moment. Can't see that changing anytime soon

That's fine - everyone is entitled to their own views on membership and what it means to them.

But if you choose to not be a member or not to renew, in my opinion, you can't complain about having to join the back of waiting lists or missing out on tickets to (certain) games.

No problem with that. I think I'm like a lot of people. I discovered that there were plenty of other things to take an interest in and right now, I have no desire to be a member. If we ever reach a normal situation again, I'll go to games but I'm not missing it anywhere near as much as I thought I would.
