I am setting up some training manuals for various things at work which are going to be printed and filed in binders. The manuals will be continually evolving with sections being added / deleted regularly as processes are refined. Accordingly, I don't want to number the pages as when pages are inserted / deleted, then the whole document needs to be reprinted in order to correct the numbering. Instead I would like to put the Chapter names in the headers (chapters are defined by applying styles) so that if changes are made, then only the chapters need be reprinted.

Does anyone know how to set up these types of headers/footers??? Any help would be appreciated...

not headers, but Captions maybe your best bet.

it's a little complex, so RTFM and RTFH.

but you set up a style, insert a caption, either manually or auto and that will change with the document.

good luck

Uhhh if I'm reading this correctly all you need to do is insert a section break to indicate the end of one header section. After you've done this there is a button in the header/footer section that needs to be unclicked to de-link the sections and prevent the auto-copying of the headers from one section to another.
