I’m hoping someone in here can help me. I have a full hd tv and Kayo will be streaming in [emoji640]K. Would somebody be kind enough to tell me what I need to purchase so that we can watch the Mighty Kangas in [emoji638][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]][emoji638][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]] as I don’t really want to buy a new TV.

Many thanks

I just checked what plan I'm on - its the basic plan for $35/month which is 4k. From March it'll go up to $40/month. I share the subscription, as it allows 2 streams at the same time.

The cheapest plan "One" is $25/month and HD only (not 4k) and only allows 1 stream at a time.

Hardware wise just use anything with a browser and hdmi out and plug into tv.

Check if you can stream kayo from abroud, i think it may be geo fenced. Possibly you may have to use the international afl service?

If your tv isn’t 4K capable you won’t be able to view it in 4K.

I have a 4K Foxtel box and the necessary high speed ethernet 4K HDMI cabling for my tv which is 4K and Full HD capable and watch live sport in 4K where it’s applicable.

My folks have the same sans the 4K wiring and they therefore can’t watch 4K.

Given Kayo’s a streaming service you just need a 4K capable tv.

Good luck with it anyway.

So, we're all coming around to your place to watch the interstate games then Toes. You'll need to cater.

I posted something the other day in Commentary and Media (I think) about Kayo. I've let mine expire as we would only use it to watch a small number of AFL games and the cricket.......

The above info about the price rise is true, for the "standard" which they've renamed as "premium" and jacked to $40 per month. That allows for two 4k streams to be watched simultaneously. Hence, you can share it with a friend and each can watch, however if a third person tries to access it at the same time one of the three is going to get a message that tells them they can't watch. The 4k stream will display as regular full HD (1080) if your TV is not capable of 4K, if your streaming device can't do 4K or if your internet connection is too slow.

Kayo is limited to Australia and I'm not sure if any VPNs are able to trick it. There's an international AFL app that will work for overseas viewing though.

If it's worth it to you, you can sign up to an AFL "digital membership" through North Melbourne and the cost will be $350 for 12 months - don't dilly dally though as this may be withdrawn very soon. Make sure you check the price if you call the club.

Kay One will remain at $25 per month but limits you to one concurrent stream at full HD (not 4K). As far as I know this is staying at $25 per month for the time being.

Obviously, if you buy the club digital membership you get Kayo for a year at the locked in price. Saves you around $125 to $130. It also boosts North's membership numbers by one.

If you only want to subscribe during the AFL season and HD is good enough for you then you can go month to month on the $25 plan and dump Kayo when the finals begin as these are broadcast on FTA (although the downside is having to put up with Channel 7 commentary if you're watching on that shit-show of a broadcast entity [as opposed to the Foxtel organisation which is every bit as bad]).

Some have mentioned that there's a high seas option but I don't know anything about that kind of thing.
