Anyone ever had one or know anyone who has?

Specifically, the Inguinal type (which is the one you get on either side just above your groin)?

If so, how long did it take to get right again before you stopped feeling pain in the area and could resume normal activies?

I had one operated on nearly 8 weeks ago and it is still sore as buggery. Just doesnt feel right at all, but i dont know whats normal after this kind of procedure or what i should be worried about.

I can barely laugh too hard without it feeling like its bursting through again, let alone do any kind of lifting or even slightly strenuous activity. Its bloody annoying!

I had a bi-lateral (both sides) inguinal and I was 100% 4 week later. It sound as though yours was done just before mine and i've been fine since before NYE, although when I went to the doctor he was surprised and said that usally it was longer to heal. You should have had another check up by now, however mine was with keyhole if you didn't have keyhole I can't really help as my doc said non-keyhole takes much longer.

Half your luck dude. Glad its worked out alright for ya though.

And I had a check up a week after the op just to get the bandages off and see how the wound was coming along. Got another on Monday where i think i'll be getting another ultra sound.

And no, the 3 inch scar i have tells me it definitely wasnt key hole.:thumbsd:
