Carlton would have to clean out its list, gain some level of list management and strategic competency....

THEN draft/trade in that list while Tasmania gobbles up the draft.

THEN get a reasonable coach

THEN they'd have to get ahead of other teams who are already building strong lists (GWS, Footscray etc)

THEN not get absolutely smashed by some board member who thinks he knows better

THEN make finals and be good enough to win the flag.
