Hellow to all and sundry on this damn big forum!

Name's James, live out in the stix of country NSW, 24, male. Tbh AFL is not my #1 sport but i'm one of those 'i love all sport' people so I spend a fair bit of time watching it. Never been to a game but would like to in the future. Swans supporter, but my heart truly lies with Everton in the EPL ..even though i'm not too crash hot on the petulant act-fest of soccer.

Used to play Rugby (Union) in high school, and started playing soccer this year. Wasn't too bad at Union but i'm fairly hopeless with the multi-directional world game. Guys from my local AFL team want me to play with them and I might just give it a go next season.

Anyway, hopefully I can avoid (or get really involved in) all the AFL v other sport battles/bashing that i've heard this forum is famous for

would love to know where you heard this site gets its fame from afl vs other sports bashing. to be honest, the only time it occurs is when the nrl have something to say about the afl.

I've actually heard it from a few places, notably a TV forum I used to post on, and lately a soccer forum, where i'll admit there's a fair bit of insecurity floating around.

But I spose everyone's favourite game is the best game in the world and always will be no matter what anyone else says.

So by that logic, Rugby Union > AFL, no doubt about it.
