Has anyone tried using proxy servers or programs to mask their IP address? If so what have been you experiences? Can you make any recommendations?

There's a free one called Hot Shield or Hot Spot Shield or something that allows you to try it out before maybe shelling out for a better solution. Confirm it works with Hulu but I was getting a really laggy connection - haven't been fussed to go back and try it since.
But unless Oz gets it's act together on IPTV, I can see these type of apps getting more and more popular.
