Tell us your highest. Mine's 334, but my brother's good and the backyards huge and we have to run between wickets!

I scored 250 and a bit... can't remember the exact score. I used to live in a cal-de-sac and used to play on the road with all the other guys on the street.

It wasn't the record... some guy scored a 400 - but we all went inside because he wouldn't retire... and the fact it was 8pm.

In 1997, I scored a record for park cricket (at the local park) of 278*, which still stands today.
My best ever score in proper cricket is 124*... the only century I have ever scored.

366 and then retired after passing Gary Sobers record of the time (365). Mind you the offside boundary was only about 4 metres away and I had a great cover drive!

Backyard Cricket- 206
Park Cricket (with mates) - 130
Proper Cricket - 78*
Backyard Cricket - 330
Steet Cricket - 250 or something
Proper Cricket - 124*
Fantasy Cricket - nil

My backyard is a whole block in size which makes backyard cricket a treat. My highest score in one innings was 127. Which is the record for my backyard.

my finest cricketing memory..
in my first year for the under 14's i took 8 for 8 off 7.4 overs including a hatrick in the first innings of a game and 3 for 3 off 3 in the second...
batted terrible all year but took out the years bowling average...

also years ago in primary school you had to be in grade 4 or above to play in the schools cricket team..i was in grade 3 but my brother convinced the principal to let me play...i took a hatrick and was carried off the ground by all the bigger kids after we won...as you could imagine i was pretty damn happy...

ahhh those were the days.... :D

Oh gotta add one more thing. Highest score @ the WACA - 103. (on the grassy bank near the scoreboard)

Bah! I once took 9/23 on the carpark outside the curators shed. Richard Winter still says it's the greatest spell of fast bowling he's ever seen ;) .

Anyway:

Street Cricket - 304
Park Cricket - 200
Proper Cricket - 105

We played indoor cricket style rules in our "official" games- each guy got to face 2 overs. My best was 32, which was pretty good considering the small field and poor rewards for good shotmaking (plus the constant threat for a -5 for over the fence, or if you knicked one onto the shed, which was nicknamed Gilly when he first came to WA).

I much preferred our time in the nets, but that's probably just the bowler in me.

Seeing as though most of you are probably lying, I'm going to be honest;

Indoor (the best type - with a mini cricket bat and a bouncy-ball): 105
Backyard: no idea
Park with mates: 51
Real (club): 49*

And yes, the 49* hurt seeing as though I'm a ******** batsman / keeper who batted at 9.

When Gilly first came to WA he was quite unpopular (very hard to believe).
Umm, actually no he wasn't

It's a popular myth - but Zoehrer himself had a lot of people in WA who didn't like him.

I think Gilly might have been booed once, and that was about it. I spent a lot of time at the WACA in that era.....

It really depends on whether you're from Midland Guildford or not. Ziggy could be a really nice bloke one minute and a complete tosser the next.

with Gilly, Zoehrers backers disliked him at first, but he didn't take long to win everyone over because he's such a good bloke, and a great cricketer to boot, while at that time Zoehrer had a bit of a screw loose.

Batting: 113*

We've got a rule that says if you make a ton, you've got to retire at the end of the over. You try to finagle it so you're on 99 to begin the over, and then just go nuts. The drawback is that you might play a dumb shot and go out for 99, but that hasn't happened to me yet.

Bowling: 6/25 odd.

Backyard cricket for me....

- If it goes over the fence, your out IF you don't go get it. But if you do get it, you stay in.
- If you smash a window - your docked 50 runs
- If you hit it OVER the house with in turn travels over the road, it is worth 12 runs
