Team Captain
Highs
2 members of the Geelong cheersquad taking off their Geelong jumpers after the game & sheepishly singing the Lions song. have to set GFE onto you guys!
J. Brown & his well documented exploits.
D. White & his amazing leaping marks. How does he do it?!
Luke Powers forays in the forward line - before he went off.
Good to see M. Michael take it up yet again. He seems to do all the right things without being overly flashy.
Of course Aka going berko all over the ground.
1st 1/2's positive attitude toward setting up goals. Superb mix btwn long goals & patience in setting up a man inside 50.
1st 1/2's disclipined defence
Desperation at the ball. Lions jumpers were always at the fall of the ball & at the bottom of the packs.
Lows.
Aimless kicking into forward line in 2nd 1/2. Surely there is some sort of aversion therapy that can stop this. You know, do the wrong thing & get an electric shock.
A. Lynch. Not good to see one of my favs not doing so well. In the 3rd 1/4 he ran into goal with the ball from a tight angle. Headland ran totall unmarked hard towards goal with practically no angle, expecting a handball to convert a simple goal. Lynch looked at him, ignored him & ran on to kick a behind. I am sure if the positions were reversed the senior player would have roasted the younger for such a stupid decision.
Good spoiling in defence was sometimes being ruined by incredibly silly errrors in clearing the ball from the back 50.
