There was a stat about contracts across the competition I heard the other day (I might not be 100% accurate on the number as I heard it in passing), but I think it was something like there being only 8-9 players in the competition on contracts bigger than what had been suggested for Hill. If that's true, then I'd be expecting us to get more than what we got for Neale.
