No

At training today he ran (well more like a fat jog) several half laps down one side of windy hill. That was it. He is on the mend but no chance of playing this week.

apparently they said on SEN he may be rested for the season and will play on next year.

I didnt hear it myself though.

Not a bad idea at all.

That wasn't quite what they were suggesting, not to leave him out for the complete season, but just to monitor him through this season and make sure he is 100% right for 2007.

Sheeds said pretty much the same thing, no risk will be taken. It now looks like he won't play until after the break.

If he'd had enough he'd enough and I reckon everyone would respect that, being injured a lot of a season when we are rock bottom is a way he would not want to go out on, which is great to see because most of us know we can have a really good team next year if we don't suffer the injuries we've been accustomed to lately

Why would you play him against the Crows?

Let's have him fresh for 2007 and our push for 15th.

And to think Sheedy likened resting Hird to Collingwood resting Buckley
