Hocking may be a Dog
26 September 2003 Herald Sun
By MICHAEL STEVENS
FORMER champion Geelong midfielder Garry Hocking is seeking an assistant coaching job at the Western Bulldogs.
Hocking, 34, who played 274 games with the Cats from 1987 to 2001, said he had spoken to coach Peter Rohde about the position.
"I'm in the mix, I guess," Hocking said, revealing that he also spoke to Rohde last season. "Peter said I needed coaching experience for a season, so I'm back again, throwing my hat into the ring."
Hocking coached the under-18 Western Jets into the TAC finals this season.
Rohde said interviews for the job were still taking place.
Good for him
