Hi all,

Hardly ever post on this forum I just like to have a little look here and there.

I know Melbourne don't draw in big crowds but I feel as though our home games don't feel like actual home games. This has nothing to do with other clubs having bigger support crowd at the games but it has something to do with our club. I feel as though when I am at an away game, It actually feels as though its an away game and we have entered another clubs stadium even if it's at the G. Should we as members be doing something to make the G Red and Blue? Should the club be doing more? Yes we aren't playing good football but I would love to walk into the G as though its our home!

Thank you, rant over now :p

We've just had one of the darkest 6 year periods in our history, so crowd numbers were always going to be ordinary

Go back to the Daniher days and it was definitely our home (fortress)

Crowd numbers will be up with the appointment of Roos

Numbers will further swell with some victories

I know where you're coming from OP, but tbh I generally find club-led 'home game' paraphernalia a bit tacky (i.e. Essendon rebranding one of the ends at Docklands the Lloyd end...our very own old mate trumpeter etc.)

As said above, the best way is just to focus on the on-field stuff. If we were top eight and still only pulling 20k crowds, then you might want to get the marketing team involved and see if we can't make the Scotch College marching band a permanent fixture.

especially when we already have ends and well... part of the MCC
