topic of conversation in relation to the better stables , trainers, axcess, training fees, communication ( websites, email updates, photos of your horse, etc.. ) and success, all relatively the same or are there some that stand out for one reason or another ?

I reckon it's a really tuff and competitive industry and if they can find a loyal owner I guess like anything makes life just that little bit easier.

Personal Experience

Good - Ellerton/Zahra - seem like nice guys, good/professional video updates, generally know the relative merits of the horse when it is running

Bad - Darren Pfeiffer - seemed to have NFI how the horse was going (i.e. says its a real good chance - beaten panels; horse first up - wait for another day - runs third etc); terrible placer of horses in races that suit (IMHO), text only updates when I was with him

Others I've raced with
Bjorn Baker - seems pretty cluey and honest - good/regular updates although our one is also injured
Todd Rawiller - seems a bit of a battler/struggles with the technology - update videos/audio cutting out at random points

Gai/James Cummings - too early to tell but assume will just be one of 1,000,000 owners so not expecting a great personal touch.

Only had minor interest as an owner but to me communication with owners is key. Not sure all trainers fully appreciate that

they're getting better across the board to be honest. Also starting to realise it's their job to not only sell the experience to their owners but sell the industry to potential owners.

I have some with Weir and Mick Price. Fees wise they are identical.

In terms of communication Mick price contacts more but tells you less. Happy with both of them but speaking to a few mates who have horses with other trainers communication can be very hit or miss.
