How close to finishing your team are you?

It Saturday morning, and I must admit it has been taking me longer this season to finalise my team. There is only 5 days to go.

I have just done a quick count and at this stage there are only 17 players out of 30 positions that I am 100% certain will be in my squad. (barring a last minute injury of course)

That leaves 13 positions were I am still undecided. For those I essentially have about 30-40 options on my short list.

I want to get it to the stage so that when the intial teams (well squads for most) that I only have a coupl eof choices to make on Thursday. I have set myself a 12 noon Thursday deadline to avoid the last minute rush on the system. I am starting to feel the time pressure now!!!

(PS - Is it a bad thing to admit that I am not heading out tonight (Saturday) so that I can work on my SC team??)

I think i've pretty much finalised my team now. there are no more nab scores and fantasy freako letters to piss me off and make me change my team lol.

all i'm really waiting on atm is to see whether or not players like gamble, taylor, prismall, pfeiffer etc get a game on thursday to cement them in my team.

Let's just hope my other rookie's get a game.

p.s. a real SC player doesn't go out. that's dedication.

I'm still meddling - the maths wont allow it but I'm trying to squeeze one slightly more expensive first year player into the squad, but I'm not yet willing to compromise on my other selections

I'm only 2k shy of getting there

I think I'm done, the only possible changes I'd make are to my reserves once teams come out. Little bit iffy on my midfield but once again, will wait till I see teams. I'm set on my expensive and mid-price players already.

I've finished my team about 3 times now but I still keep revisiting it.

Like the rest of you, I will be checking which rookies will be playing but with the first 2 games on Thursday if some of them are actually going to play (eg. Scott Selwood).

I have actually spent more on my reserve players this year as there seems to be plenty of value and I had some money left over. Hopefully the greater depth and better cash cows will enhance my chances.

In the same situation here, pretty settled on my side, just wait for the teams now.
