How do I get my file back?

I renamed a .jpeg file and was asked the question do I want to overwite it.
I said YES!!
AND YOU GUESSED IT, I overwrote the file.< read deleted it I guess?>

Question is, is the one that I overwote still on my puta and do I need to install retreival software to bring it back to life?

nah, you just need to rename the file back to .jpeg should be very easy, I've done it plenty of times with video,pics etc!
